GREG BIFFLE, NO. 16 GRAINGER FORD:
"It wasn't too bad, a little bit tighter than I wanted. We tightened it up
because we thought the track was going to be green with all the rain. It's not
bad. It's manageable right now. I think if we can maybe get a better
balance we might be able to run up there in the top-10. I'm optimistic to see what
we can do with that." DID THE CHANGE IN WEATHER CONDITIONS HURT YOUR CAR'S
SETUP? "Not really because we haven't had a setup in the last couple of days
(laughs). It was out the window before the race started. We think we're pretty
close. We think we're in an adjustable range, let's put it that way. We're
excited about being able to work on it here." IT MUST BE FRUSTRATING DEALING
WITH THE DELAY. "We do this a lot at the beginning of the year and late in
the year this happens to us. As long as they get the track dry and it's safe to
go back racing, we'll be ready to go."
CASEY MEARS, NO. 41 TARGET DODGE:
"On the start they all checked up a little bit more than I thought they were
going to and I popped to the outside so I didn't hit them. And I thought
'Man, if I stay out of the gas and wait for them to clear me again the guy behind
me is going to go bye' so I stayed in the gas. I wasn't past him by the time
I got to the start finish line but I guess I pulled out of line. I guess
that's initiating a pass and got a black flag for that. We got a really good car
and if we can get this whole race in and not have too much trouble I think we
can come out with a really good finish." DID THE FIRST CAUTION OF THE RACE
PLAY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE? "It worked out great. They were giving me the black
flag and I was at the top-side and it took me two or three laps to get back down
to the bottom. By the time I got down to the bottom and pitted the caution
had come out just as I pulled down into the pits so it worked out really good."
TONY RAINES, NO. 74 BACE MOTORSPORTS CHEVROLET:
"The pits are so messed up here. that I was running 30th or 31st or
whatever and coming
into pit road a lot of the front cars were pulling out. I missed a couple
and I was trying to turn into my pit and I seen the 97 coming out. I aborted,
but he kept coming. He went to the right and he come out and hit me in the
left rear tire and cut it down. But I was coming back in anyway. I couldn't
make it into my stall, so it's kind of a weird deal. The way the pit stalls are
lined up he's probably up toward the front and I was in the back, I guess.
Hopefully it will iron itself out." DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER DAMAGE? "The car
isn't bad. It's not great but it's been consistent so far. It's a little bit
loose in (but) we can tighten it up and maybe we can work our way up."
JAMIE MCMURRAY, NO. 42 HAVOLINE DODGE:
"We're going to make some adjustments on our next pit stop and just try
something different. We've tried all weekend to make the car do something
different and it hasn't so we're going to try something else." DID THE CHANGE IN
WEATHER CONDITIONS THROW YOU OFF? "I don't know. It's one of my favorite cars.
I really like this place and ran well here last year but both races here we
have struggled a lot. We're fighting the same thing. We're going to make a
dramatic change here in a little bit. It was really tight and then it went
really loose. It was kind of both. That's what has us puzzled. If it was just
doing one thing then we could adjust on it but we really don't know what to do."
