New England 300 - New Hampshire International Speedway

Burton Wins at the Magic Mile
Not much has gone right for Ward Burton since his season-opening win at Daytona, until Sunday. Burton and crew chief Tommy Baldwin used pit strategy and fuel mileage to be in position to take the lead after Matt Kenseth's tire went flat with ten laps to go. Burton would go on to beat Jeff Green by 3.23 seconds to score his fifth career victory, his second this season. Green's second-place effort was the best finish in his Winston Cup career. Dale Jarrett would finish third, while teammates Rusty Wallace and Ryan Newman rounded out the top five.

Elliott Grabs Loudon Pole
Bill Elliott won his third pole of the season and his seventh top 10 starting spot in the past eight races. Elliott, who started in the top 10 a total of 11 times this season, will lead the field to the green flag for the New England 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway. It's Elliott's 54th career pole. Mike Skinner joins Elliott on the outside of row one, while Rusty Wallace and Bobby Labonte make out row two.
