Subway 400 - North Carolina Speedway

 

Kenseth Wins at North Carolina Speedway
Matt Kenseth rolled at The Rock. Kenseth took the lead with eight circuits left, grabbing his second Winston Cup career victory Sunday at the Subway 400 at North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham. Kenseth, the 2000 Rookie of the Year, led for 152 of the race's 393 laps and won the race under caution. Sterling Marlin finished in the second spot and moved into the points lead after two races. Teammates Bobby Labonte and Tony Stewart finished third and fourth respectively, while pole-sitter Ricky Craven made out the top five.

Craven Roars to Rockingham Pole
Ricky Craven went from worst to first. After starting 43rd last week at Daytona, Craven roared to the pole position for the Subway 400 at North Carolina Speedway. Craven turned in a fast lap of 23.468 seconds, at an average speed of 156.008 mph, to claim his fifth career pole. Teammates Ken Schrader and Johnny Benson will start the race second and third respectively, while Dale Jarret and Jerry Nadeau make out the top five.
