Virginia 500 - Ken Schrader Notes

Ken Schrader Notes & Quotes

"M&M's"® Racing Team

Martinsville Speedway

Schrader's Thoughts On Martinsville Speedway...

"Martinsville isn't my favorite race track on the circuit, but we seem to have a pretty good track record there and like any short track race, it's usually a pretty good show for the fans. Martinsville is really rough on the car - and I'm not just talking about the sheet metal. It's harsh on tires, on brakes, on everything. It's really important to qualify up front at Martinsville, which I've had good luck with in the past. Hopefully, that luck will hold out, and the "M&M's"® car will have a strong run."

"M&M's"® Racing At Martinsville Speedway...

The trip to Martinsville Speedway marks the debut of the No. 36 GLOBAL COLOR VOTE(tm) car. The car features the three colors that people all around the world are voting on to be the new color in the famous "M&M's"® mix - pink, purple or aqua. The GLOBAL COLOR VOTE(tm) car will run in the next four races.

To vote for your favorite color, simply log onto www.mms.com. The polls are open through May 31st, and you can vote as many times as you want. Don't forget that the winning color will also be the color car that Schrader will pilot for the Bristol night race in August.

Although Schrader admits that Martinsville isn't one of his favorite stops during the year, he has logged some impressive finishes at the track during his 18-year career. In 17 starts for the spring race, Schrader has finished in the top 10 a total of 11 times.

Schrader will pull double duty this weekend as he will climb behind the wheel of his Schrader Racing truck for Saturday's Craftsman Truck Series Race.

"M&M's"® Racing car chief Pete Wright hopes that he will be able to claim a home track advantage at Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Pete hails from nearby Rocky Mount and has been in NASCAR for 33 years. Pete has been with MB2 Racing since its inception.
