Matt Kenseth notched his series-high third win of the season with today's victory in the Sirius Satellite Radio 400. Sterling Marlin, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson all have two each.
The win was Kenseth's fourth career NASCAR Winston Cup win and first at Michigan International Speedway. In addition, it was the sixth victory for Ford in 2002, most among manufacturers, and increased it's lead in the manufacturer's standings to more than 20 points. Kenseth was able to edge Dale Jarrett at the stripe by 0.131 seconds to take the win. Jarrett finished in the second position while rookie Ryan Newman came home third, leading a trio of Fords in the top three. The Chevrolets of Michael Waltrip and Jeff Gordon would round out the top five.
