Coca-Cola Racing Family 600 - Lowe's Motor Speedway

Martin Wins 600, Million Bucks
For Mark Martin, it had been a long time since he had visited victory lane, so he used the season's longest race to snap a 73-race winless streak. Martin not only won the Coca-Cola Racing Family 600, he pocketed a million-dollar check by winning the Winston No Bull 5 Million Dollar Bonus. Jimmie Johnson dominated the event, leading 263 of 400 laps, but overshot his pit stall on the final stop to fall from contention. Martin's teammate Matt Kenseth finished in the runner-up spot, while Ricky Craven and Ricky Rudd gave Ford the top-four finishing positions, Jeff Gordon finished fifth in a Chevrolet. Martin's win gave Roush Racing its fourth straight win the 600-miler at Charlotte. It was the 33rd career win for Martin.
