MBNA All-American Heroes 400 - Dover Downs International Speedway

Johnson Sweeps the Monster Mile
Rookie Jimmie Johnson completed a season sweep of the events at Dover Downs International Raceway, becoming the only rookie to win two races at the same track in a season. Johnson outran Mark Martin to the finish line to score his third victory of the season, becoming only the second rookie to accomplish that feat. Johnson led the most laps on the day, staying out front for 170 of the event's 400 laps, to give Hendrick Motorsports their 108th win. Martin finished in the second spot and increased his point lead to 30 points over Johnson, who moved into second place with the win. Dale Jarrett finished third, while Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart made out the top-five finishing positions.
