Two Martins Will Compete in Atlanta This Weekend

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Mark Martin, driver of the No. 6 Viagra (sildenafil citrate) Taurus, will not be the only Martin competing at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. Matt Martin, Mark's nine-year-old son, will also be aiming for a win.

While Mark will be concentrating on the Winston Cup race on Sunday, Matt will be focused on his Bandolero race after Saturday's ARCA event. Matt has just started racing a Bandolero this year and earned a third place finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway earlier this month.

"I always look forward to having my family at the Winston Cup races with me," Mark Martin said. "But when Matt can race at the same track as me, that makes it even more special. We've never been able to do that before. My final practice will be done early in the afternoon, so I will have a few hours during the ARCA race to spend time with him and help him prepare for his race. He'll do the same for me on Sunday."

"It's pretty cool to race at the same track as my Dad," Matt Martin said. "It's always fun to have him at my races, especially since the Bandoleros are still pretty new for me. He came to my race in Charlotte a few weeks ago because he was close-by in Rockingham so he got to see me win a trophy since I was third."

Both Martins are still looking for their first win of the season in their respective divisions, so hopefully Atlanta can be a family sweep for them.
