Roush Holds Press Conference at UFA for Check Presentation and Gift Delivery
(HUNTERSVILLE, N.C.) On Friday, November 30 at 1:00pm at the Uniformed Firefighters Association headquarters, located at 204 E. 23rd St., NYC, Jack Roush, and drivers Jeff Burton, Matt Kenseth, and Kurt Busch will hold a press conference to make a check presentation and gift delivery to the UFA Widows’ and Children’s Fund.
The contribution to the fund comes in two parts. First, Roush has matched all contributions made by its 1,800 employees of the three main operating companies, Roush Racing, Roush Engineering and Roush Performance. Second, a percentage of souvenir sales made from the last 10 Winston Cup races has been directly contributed to the fund. The total contribution from these two donation campaigns is $89,613.
Additionally, Roush invited all of its licensees to participate in their effort through product donation for Christmas presents, which will go directly to the families of the Widows’ and Children’s fund. The following licensees have donated hundreds of gifts: Mattel, Checkered Flag, VF Knitwear, R.M. Palmer, USAopoly, Valley Forge Flag Co., Seven Sons, Inc., Mine Safety, Inc., Wenger and Crews, Inc.
The Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows’ and Children’s Fund is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to assisting widows who are experiencing financial hardship, lend a helping hand in providing health and welfare benefits, and to assist in the educational facilities of the dependent children.
