Global Crossing @ the Glen - Watkins Glen International

 

Road Warrior Gordon Wins at The Glen
Jeff Gordon now holds the record for most road course wins, winning for the seventh time in NASCAR's road races. Gordon held off Jeff Burton to win the Global Crossing @ The Glen at Watkins Glen International, his fourth career win at The Glen. Gordon has now won two races in a row and has a series-leading five wins this season. Burton's second place effort was his best on a road course. Jeremy Mayfield also had his best road course finish, crossing the stripe in third, while Ricky Rudd and Todd Bodine rounded out the top five.

Jarrett Grabs Pole at Watkins Glen
Dale Jarrett and teammate Ricky Rudd will make an all-Yates front row at Watkins Glen. Jarrett roared to the pole position for the Global Crossing @ The Glen, breaking the track record in the process. Jarrett's lap of 71.884 seconds, at an average speed of 122.698 mph, gave him his first-ever pole at a road course. Rudd will start from the outside-pole position, while Jerry Nadeau and Robby Gordon make out row two.
