Gordon Runs Away at Dover Downs
Jeff Gordon dominated the field at Dover Downs International, leading for 381 of the event's 400 laps and cruising to his second win of the season. Gordon beat second-place Steve Park to the stripe by .828 seconds to claim his fourth win at the Dover Speedway. Gordon won for the 54th time in his career, moving him into a tie for seventh on NASCAR's all-time win list. Park's teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr would come home in the third spot, while Ricky Craven and points leader Dale Jarrett finished out the top five.

Cup Qualifying Cancelled
Qualifying for the MBNA Platinum 400 at Dover Downs International Speedway was cancelled due to rain Friday, the field will be set by owner points. Points leader Dale Jarrett will start from the pole, with Jeff Gordon on the outside pole. Rusty Wallace, Johnny Benson, and Ricky Rudd make out the top five starting spots.
