Jarrett Gives Ford First Win of 2001
A late 14.2-second pit stop propelled Dale Jarrett past Steve Park and into the lead and he went on to win the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday. Jarrett also moved into first place in the NASCAR Winston Cup points standings by 65 points over both Sterling Marlin and Johnny Benson. Jarrett finished .527 seconds ahead of Park to score the first win for Ford in the 2001 season.

Cup Qualifying Cancelled, Gordon to Start from Pole
Heavy fog cancelled quailifying for the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 and postponed Saturday morning practice. Owner's points were used to set the field for Sunday's race, giving Jeff Gordon his sixth pole position at the Darlington track. Dale Jarrett will join Gordon on the front row, starting second, while rookie Kevin Harvick and Johnny Benson make out the second row.
