Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 500 - Atlanta Motor Speedway

Harvick Wins in Third Start!
It was deja vu all over again! Driving the same car that the late Dale Earnhardt drove to edge out Bobby Labonte in this race last season, rookie Kevin Harvick won in the same fashion. Harvick, in only his third Winston Cup start, took the checkered flag in a photo-finish, beating Jeff Gordon by a mere .006 seconds. Harvick led for 18 of the event's 325 laps and sits a remarkable 11th place in the Winston Cup point standings, despite running only three of the four races. Gordon's teammate Jerry Nadeau crossed the finish line in third, follwed by Dale Jarrett and Terry Labonte, which placed all three Hendrick cars in the top five.
