Johnson Has the Tools for Success with Lowe's and Hendrick

Jimmie Johnson, the rookie sensation selected by Jeff Gordon and Rick Hendrick to drive the new No. 48 Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse Chevrolet Monte Carlo, is getting set for his inaugural season in NASCAR Winston Cup. The 26-year-old Southern California native has been spending the off-season traveling, working out and renovating his new home on Lake Norman in Charlotte.

While the No. 48 Lowe's Monte Carlo competed in three Winston Cup events in 2001, Jimmie Johnson used the experience to learn the tracks, get comfortable in the car and gain some confidence competing at NASCAR's highest level. Now, he's ready to prove that he has the tools with his new team to be competitive, run up front and take the No. 48 Lowe's Monte Carlo to victory lane.
