Jeff Green to Run Triple Duty at Indianapolis

(Mooresville, NC) Jeff Green, driver of the No. 10 Nestlé Nesquik Ford Taurus on the NASCAR Busch Series and defending Busch Series champion, will add two other driving duties to his schedule during the upcoming weekend at Indianapolis. Beside trying to acheive his first win at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP) on Saturday evening, Green will also race the final leg of the International Race of Champions (IROC) on Saturday afternoon and also compete in Richard Childress Racing's No. 30 America Online Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).

Green will practice both his NWC and IROC cars at IMS on Friday, however his schedule becomes quite busy on Saturday, as the Busch Series is a one day show at IRP. His tentative schedule is as follows:

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. NWC practice at IMS
10:15 a.m. NWC qualifying at IMS (Green will have to go out first, then helicopter to IRP)
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. NBS practice at IRP (Green will have to cut this practice session short by 30 minutes to helicopter back over to IMS)
1:30 p.m. Driver introductions for IROC at IMS
2:00 p.m. Start of IROC race (at completion, helicopter back over to IRP)
3:30 p.m. NBS qualifying at IRP (Green will have to go out first, then helicopter to IMS)
3:15 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. NWC Happy Hour - TIMES APPROXIMATE (Green will only be able to make about 30 minutes of this session, then helicopter back over to IRP)
5:30 p.m. Drivers Meeting at IRP for NBS race
7:00 p.m. Start of NBS race at IRP

Although exhausting as it sounds, Green seems to feel quite confident that the day won't be all that tiring.

"To me, there isn't anything better than driving a race car" said Green. "Time goes by really quickly when you are driving, so I think the day will fly by. I'm not to worried about being exhausted because I'll have plenty of time to rest on the helicopter rides.

"I know it sounds hectic, but I am certain we have it planned out really well. Kevin Harvick has done double duty several times this year without any problems and he had to cross state lines. With that in mind, I feel that we can get back and forth across town without any bumps in the road."
