Winston 500 - Talladega Superspeedway

Earnhardt Wins Talladega and Million Dollars
Surprise, surprise, Dale Earnhardt wins at Talladega. After sweeping both races at the Talladega Superspeedway in 1999, Earnhardt was able to charge to his tenth career win at the Alabama track. With the laps winding down, Earnhardt roared from the 16th position to take the win. Kenny Wallace equaled his best career finish, coming home second, .119 seconds behind Earnhardt. With the win, Earnhardt pocketed a cool million dollar bonus from the Winston No Bull Challenge. Earnhardt moved into second place in the Winston Cup points standings, trailing point leader Bobby Labonte by 210 points with four races remaining.
