Burton Pulls Phoenix Sweep
Jeff Burton brought out the broom for the second time this season, winning both the Busch Grand National and the Winston Cup races at Phoenix this weekend. Burton also won both events at Las Vegas earlier this season. After leader Ricky Rudd was caught up in a late-race accident, Burton was able to win the 11 lap shootout, holding off Jeremy Mayfield by .854 seconds. The win was the first for Burton at Phoenix and his fourth of the 2000 season.
