NASCAR Announces Daytona 2001 Testing Schedule

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - NASCAR has released its 2001 testing schedule for the month of January at Daytona International Speedway for the NASCAR Winston Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series' teams.

NASCAR Busch Series 2000 final car owner point standings will determine which days the teams will test. Those car owners finishing in odd-numbered positions in the final point standings (ex. 1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.), will test on January 22nd and 23rd, while car owners finishing in even-numbered positions in the final point standings (ex. 2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.), will test on January 24th and 25th.
