Nashville Post-Race Quotes
"We started off good and just fell back. We missed it today - we just were not on it. We were lucky to salvage this night, so we'll go back and try it again. The racetrack never changed all night. It was exactly the same at the end of the races as it was at the very beginning, and we just couldn't get a hold of it."

Nashville Qualifying Quotes
"Yeah, we were quick, but we lost a little time from practice. We had hoped for just a bit more out of that run. The thing is, I've never been one to qualify. I love racing, and I try to really concentrate on what we've got to do later on down the road - especially with my not having run these trucks all that much. I take all I can out of practice to get ready for the race. One day we'll get the pole.
"I feel pretty good heading into tomorrow night's race. We're out here in Bobby Hamilton's backyard, and he loves this racetrack. What we've got to do is just make everything happen, keep on getting these top-threes every week, and whenever we do that we're putting ourselves into the position to win more races."

Robert Pressley and the No. 18 Dickies Square D Dodge began the weekend with
high hopes of a trip to victory lane, but when the checkered flag had fallen
the team had to settle for a top ten finish.
Pressley started the event from the fourth position after posting a
solid lap in qualifying. But, when the race started the No. 18 Bobby
Hamilton Racing truck began to get loose in the turns. Pressley fell to
seventh in the first 50 laps before pitting for the first time on lap 63.
When he rejoined the race the truck still would not handle.
Pressley continued to try and get the truck to turn in the corners,
while maintaining his position in the top ten. He raced as hard as he could
until his final stop of the day on lap 134 for two tires and fuel. After the
stop, the team, had determined that the problem was something they could not
fix at the track.
The problem with the truck was when another truck would get right up
behind the No. 18 the air would be taken off the rear spoiler, and then the
truck would try and spin out. In fact the first time it happened, Pressley
nearly crashed out of the event.
"We started off good and just fell back," said Pressley. "We missed it
today - we just weren't on it. We're lucky to salvage this night, so we'll
go back and try it again. The racetrack never changed all night. It was
exactly the same at the end of the race as it was at the very beginning, and
we just couldn't get a hold of it."
Pressley still managed to stay in the top ten and record a ninth place
finish, which was the seventh time in a row dating back to Milwaukee in June.
The team also remained in the fifth position in the points standings. Only
now with seven races remaining in the 2002 season, Pressley and the No. 18
Dickies Square D Dodge trail points leader, Mike Bliss, by 100 points.
