Kroger 200 Sold Out Indianapolis Raceway Park officials announced Tuesday morning that the Kroger 200 presented by Fifth Third Bank, featuring the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division on Friday evening on the .686-mile IRP oval track, has been sold out. There are still tickets available for the other two Kroger SpeedFest™ events – the DuPont 100 with the USAC Coors Light Silver Bullet Racing Series on Wednesday, and the Power Stroke 200 presented by Ford and International for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Thursday. The 1999 event marks the third time in the 18-year history of the Kroger 200 that the race has been sold out. Activity at Indianapolis Raceway Park will get underway on Wednesday when gates open at 3:00 p.m. and the track opens for USAC Silver Bullet practice. Qualifications are set for 5:00 p.m., with pre-race ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. and a 15-lap qualifying race set for 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, gates open at 12:00 noon, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice is set for 1:00 p.m., with qualifying at 4:30 p.m. Pre-race ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the Power Stroke 200 will take the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Friday’s schedule for the Kroger 200 calls for gates to open at 11:00 a.m., and the first of two one-hour practice sessions to begin at 12:00 noon.
