Martin Wins at the Rock
Mark Martin, driver of the No. 60 Winn Dixie Taurus, won for the
sixth time in 1999 and 10th time at North Carolina Speedway as he captured
the Kmart 200 this afternoon. Martin held off Jeff Green by .317 seconds to win for the 40th time in his Busch Grand National career.
Martin on Rockingham Pole
Mark Martin will start from the top spot at Rockingham for the fourth time in his Busch Grand National career. Martin turned a qualifying lap of 24.010 seconds, at 152.486 mph, to take the pole position for the Kmart 200 on Saturday. Joining Martin on the front row, is point leader Dale Earnhardt Jr., followed by Jeff Green and Todd Bodine in row two.
