All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300
Waltrip Sneaks a Win at Charlotte
Michael Waltrip was able to pull out his first Busch Grand National win since 1993, stretching his fuel milage to win the All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Leader Mike McLaughlin ran out of fuel in turn two on the final lap to hand the win to Waltrip. Waltrip beat Jeff Gordon to the stripe by 3.751 seconds to claim his eighth career BGN win.
Kenseth Grabs Top Spot at LMS
Matt Kenseth claimed his second straight pole position, taking the top starting spot for the All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Kenseth's lap of 30.452 seconds, at 177.328 mph, broke the track record. Joining Kenseth on the front row is Dave Blaney, who previously held the qualifying record. Mark Martin and Hut Stricklin will start from the second row.
