Food City 250 Mike McLaughlin Notes

The Streak:
* Mike McLaughlin holds the mark for most consecutive starts among active Busch Grand National drivers at 142 races. The last time McLaughlin failed to make a race, August of 1994 at Bristol Motor Speedway. McLaughlin missed two races in 1994, both at Bristol.

"Looking back on the starts, it's hard to believe I have made that many starts in a row," McLaughlin said. "I have to credit the Cicci-Welliver Racing Team for giving me cars capable of making all the races. It's kind of funny that one week after we grabbed the lead for most consecutive starts that we are back here racing in Bristol. Hopefully we can qualify up front this weekend and make it 143 in a row."

* McLaughlin, an avid Harley Davidson rider, plans to ride his bike to the Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend. According to McLaughlin the ride through the mountains is truly incredible on a Harley-Davidson.

* McLaughlin will make a mad dash to the Goulds Pumps hospitality tent following qualifying Friday afternoon. Goulds Pumps will host a large group of customers in the hospitality village behind turn four.
