Pepsi 300 - Mark Green Notes

FROM ONE TENNESSEE TRACK TO ANOTHER

WARSAW, Ind. - After a top 25 finish at Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend in the Sharpie Mini 300, Mark Green and ML Motorsports are steering toward another Tennessee track this weekend.

Green and Team 70, who finished 24th Saturday at Bristol, will compete in the Pepsi 300 this Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway. With the bumpin’ and banging of Bristol behind them, Green and Co. will now focus on a 1.33-mile concrete track that the veteran driver has not competed on with his current team.

Green and the northern Indiana-based NASCAR Nationwide Series team have competed in two races this season, getting caught up in a wreck and finishing 41st at Daytona and last week's 24th-place effort at Bristol. The 24th-place finish at Bristol bettered last year's effort, when Green and Team 70 finished 25th at the famed half-mile track.

Practice for Saturday's Pepsi 300 is scheduled for 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm Friday. Qualifying is slated for 11:05 am Saturday, while the race will be shown 3:00 pm on ESPN2.
