Kyle Krisiloff and the No. 41 Polaroid Dodge (NNS)

Krisiloff back in No. 41: Kyle Krisiloff will pilot the No. 41 Polaroid Dodge this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, and also a few more races later this month. CGRFS reached an agreement that would allow Krisiloff to drive the No. 41 NNS Dodge in order to get him added track time. Krisiloff’s first start for CGRFS came at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this month. He started 22nd but an early-race incident concluded his run prematurely in 43rd place. Krisiloff completed a full season in the NNS last year in the No. 14 car for Greg Pollex, grabbing one top-five and two top-10 finishes. Between 2004 and 2005, Krisiloff collected one win (Chicagoland Speedway), two poles, four top-five and five top-10 finishes in ARCA competition. He is originally from Indianapolis, Ind. He began racing quarter midgets as a youngster. His first NNS start was in 2005 for Hendrick Motorsports at The Milwaukee Mile.

Hamlin to Spot for Krisiloff: CGRFS development driver Kevin Hamlin will get a different point of view on Saturday’s race at Nashville as he spots for Krisiloff during the Pepsi 300. Hamlin has been a development driver at CGRFS since 2005. He has made seven starts for CGRFS in NNS competition, collecting two top 10s in those seven runs. In fact, the first top 10 came at Gateway International Raceway (started 13th, finished seventh) last July and then he followed up with another top 10 the very next weekend at O’Reilly Raceway Park (started 30th, finished eighth). On the spotting front, Hamlin has helped some of his fellow CGRFS teammates score some wins and strong finishes, including Scott Pruett’s sixth-place NSCS finish at Watkins Glen in 2006 and Montoya’s first-career stock car win in Mexico City last year. Hamlin also spotted for Reed Sorenson in last year’s Brickyard 400, where he sat on the pole and then went on to score a fifth-place finish.

Pattie’s Boys: Crew Chief Brian Pattie and the No. 41 crew members know Nashville Superspeedway very well and have an impressive history with the 1.33-mile track. In fact, Pattie and team have collected two poles and one win at the Nashville track since 2005. They won the pole position and the race in March 2005 with Sorenson who still holds the largest margin of victory at Nashville, wining the race by 14.417 seconds over second-place finisher Kenny Wallace. Pattie and team followed up with another pole position two years later as David Stremme drove to break the track qualifying record at Nashville Superspeedway last April. Stremme and team then topped off their effort with a top-15 finish (11th place).

Polaroid Embarking on Third Start: Polaroid is making its third start in NASCAR competition this weekend at Nashville, as Krisiloff pilots the No. 41 Polaroid Dodge in Saturday’s NNS race. Polaroid made its debut in Atlanta earlier this month with Clauson and the No. 41 NNS Dodge, and then teamed up with Clauson and team again this past weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. Last fall, Polaroid signed a multi-year agreement to become a major associate sponsor on the No. 41 Target Dodge, driven by Sorenson, in the NSCS and the No. 9 and No. 10 Target Hondas, driven by Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon, in the IndyCar Series beginning this 2008 season. In addition to NNS competition, Polaroid will have a primary paint scheme during one event in both the NSCS and IndyCar Series.

No. 41 Polaroid Dodge (NNS): Chassis #752. This is the same car Stremme drove to break the track qualifying record at Nashville Superspeedway last April. He then topped it off with a top-15 finish—11th place. After that, the car carried CGRFS development driver Hamlin to a career-best seventh-place finish (started 13th) in July at Gateway International Raceway.
