Colin Braun – NNS ADVANCE Team: No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion Crew Chief: Eddie Pardue Chassis: RK-349 (last ran at Chicago in 2007)

Braun on racing at Nashville Superspeedway: “I’m really looking forward to running the Nationwide race at Nashville. I ran one Nationwide race at Memphis last year, but that was on a short track, so Nashville should be a lot different. There were a lot of cautions in that Memphis race so it didn’t feel like we got to do much racing. Hopefully this weekend I can run a lot of green-flag laps and get some good experience.

“I have never raced at Nashville, but I tested an ARCA car there last year. That was my first time on an oval larger than a mile. I have a little bit of experience there, but not compared to many of the other drivers. It will take me a few laps to get up to speed since I haven’t driven a Nationwide car on an intermediate track, except for a day testing in Las Vegas earlier this year.

“It’s an interesting transition from a Craftsman Truck to a Nationwide car. The cars seem to be a bit more on the edge, and the trucks are more forgiving. You can get a little sideways in a truck and the air will help you recover. You just have to be a little more cautious. I know Eddie Pardue will have a good starting set-up, and my teammate Carl Edwards always runs well there so I have a lot of help if I need it.”

Crew Chief Eddie Pardue on racing at Nashville Superspeedway: “We should run well at Nashville. Roush Fenway’s Nationwide cars are usually really good there. Last year we had strong runs at both Nashville races. I’m looking forward to seeing how Colin adapts to the track and the car. He doesn’t have a whole lot of experience in the Nationwide car, but he’s been doing really well in the Craftsman Truck Series this year. He’s a strong qualifier and that should be an advantage for us.”
