Kasey Kahne will pilot the Wisk Dodge on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as the Ultimate Chargers team looks for another strong run in the Nationwide Series.

Kahne’s statistics tell the story of his performance at the 1.5-mile Las Vegas track.

In his first race at Las Vegas with Gillett Evernham Motorsports in 2006, Kahne took the No. 9 to victory lane after leading 52 laps. He has only five career starts at the tri-oval but has averaged a finishing position of 12.4. His qualifying record is equally as impressive. Kahne has qualified in the top-10 in four of his five starts there.

DRIVER KASEY KAHNE QUOTES:

ON RACING AT VEGAS: “I have always enjoyed racing at Vegas. It’s a track that the No. 9 team always marks off on the schedule because we run well there. The track has changed a little since they put the progressive banking in, but it’s still fast. I like fast. And since we’ve had the chance to race on it last year we know what to expect.”

ON THE REASON FOR HIS SUCCESS AT VEGAS: “I think it’s a combination of things. I can’t really put my finger on one reason. The team consistently brings good cars to the 1.5-mile tracks. It’s no secret that Gillett Evernham’s intermediate program is strong in this series. But, it’s a track that is fun to race on. It’s has multiple grooves and you can really search for the best line that will make your car work. It gives you a lot of options.”

WHAT ARE THE TEAMS GOALS FOR THIS WEEKEND? “Win. We aren’t running for a championship in this series, so we go in with two goals in mind. One is to win and the other is to have a good time. The crew guys on this Wisk Dodge Charger work really hard and I couldn’t be more excited to have a chance to help them get their first victory of the 2008 season.”
