They landed on the carrier aboard a COD (carrier onboard delivery) and toured the vessel for several hours to learn more about the operations of the carrier and to meet some of the 5,500 sailors who were aboard. KESELOWSKI (on racing on fresh asphalt) – “I got to check out the new pavement at Darlington a little while back and it looks really cool. I think the track is going to have a lot of grip and be really fast It should be a lot of fun and provide some good racing action for the fans.”

KESELOWSKI (on racing at night) – “Most of us started out short track racing on Friday and Saturday nights at our home tracks, and running at Darlington at night is kind of like getting back to that. It’s a bit bigger than the tracks I started out on, but it still makes for some intense racing. The wall at Darlington has claimed a lot of victims over the years, but we’re hoping to stay off of it and get a great run for the Navy.”
