Eric McClure, driver of the No. 24 Hefty® brand Chevrolet quotes:
(On returning to Darlington and the expectation of the new surface)
“Darlington is a unique racetrack and, being my second race there, is a work in progress. I’m excited about seeing the new surface. All signs point to it being the same racetrack, just faster, and with longer tire life. It’s going to be important for us to utilize as much track time as possible in practice to get the car as comfortable as possible.

(On the importance of avoiding the Darlington stripe?)
“I don’t know that you can totally avoid it. It’s part of the tracks “charm.” Of course, I’ve had a few stripes and, last year, I had the Darlington “crunch,” as we had a couple of incidents. We’re hoping to avoid that this year in the Hefty® brand Chevrolet.”
