WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE STATER BROS. 300 NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES RACE AT AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2008.
Mike Bliss earned WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in today’s Stater Bros. 300. Bliss led once for three laps and took the honor for the first time this season.
Prior to today’s race at Auto Club Speedway, the most recent race that Bliss led was at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park on October 27, 2007 in the Sam’s Town 250 where he led once for one lap.
Bliss scored a 13th-place finish in today’s race, his best effort in two starts this season and has finished posted lead lap finishes in both races.
Bliss is eighth in the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship standings, 25 points behind seventh-place Dale Earnhardt Jr. and 144 behind leader Tony Stewart.
