KESELOWSKI AT BRISTOL – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, has two previous NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, the site of Saturday’s Sharpie Mini 300. Last August, Keselowski finished seventh in the JR Motorsports’ No. 88 Chevrolet.
NO. 88 TEAM AT BRISTOL – The No. 88 JR Motorsports team has four prior starts at Bristol. The team scored its best finish at the track last August with Keselowski at the wheel of the Navy Chevrolet.
CHASSIS NO. 382 – The No. 88 team will run Chassis No. 382 this weekend at Bristol. It is a new chassis that has not been raced before.
USS LABOON (DDG58) – The USS LABOON is the Navy Team’s Fleet Honoree this weekend at Bristol. Sailors from the Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer will join the Navy team at the track on Saturday for the race.
LOCAL SAILOR TO SERVE AS HONORARY CREW MEMBER – Bristol, Tenn., native Chief Petty Officer Michael Henderson will join the No. 88 team as an honorary pit crew member for Saturday’s Sharpie Mini 300.
GETTING RESULTS – Last weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Keselowski scored his first top-10 of the 2008 season. The sixth-place run moved the No. 88 team up to 16th in the owner point standings and pushed Keselowski up to 11th in the driver standings.
LOOKING TO CONTINUE SMI STREAK – Since joining JR Motorsports in July 2007, Keselowski has consistently performed well at all of the SMI tracks he’s competed at. He finished seventh at Bristol Motor Speedway, 11th at Lowe’s Motor Speedway and sixth at Texas Motor Speedway in 2007. Two weeks ago at Las Vegas he led on two occasions and was a contender for the win until a late-race accident sent him to the garage with five laps to go. Last weekend Keselowski finished sixth at Atlanta.

BRAD KESELOWSKI (on racing at Bristol) – “Bristol is one of my favorite tracks. Like many of the other drivers in the garage, I started out on short tracks, and Bristol is the ultimate short track. The fans seem to love Bristol just as much as the drivers do. It’s incredible how packed that place can get during a race. It’s really awesome to drive around Bristol surrounded by that many screaming fans.”
BRAD KESELOWSKI (on having a good run at Bristol) – “The Navy team had a great run last weekend in Atlanta. We’d had a rough few weeks leading up to it, so it was a big confidence builder for all of our guys. We plan to continue knocking off top fives and top 10s and make our way to Victory Lane for the Navy. We had a really strong run last August at Bristol, and with all the resources and people we’ve got this year, we should do even better this weekend.”
