LEFFLER ON RACING IN MEXICO CITY:
“My road course experience is pretty limited but I enjoy the challenge of it because it gives you the chance to test your skills in another aspect of racing. The Mexico City track is pretty cool and I have a blast racing there. There are a lot of slow, tight corners so you have to do a lot of downshifting and you use a lot of brake. It’s different than what we are used to week in and week out but I think it’s good to mix things up every now and then. The fans in Mexico City are truly crazy about the racing down there so that is satisfying for us to see that they enjoy us being there and enjoy watching a good race.
The traveling part of the trip can be a little tiresome but once you get down there it’s really a community-like atmosphere with all of the teams staying in the same three-block area and the same three or four hotels. Overall, it’s a lot of fun!”
