No. 27 Crew Chief Resigns at Baker Curb Racing

(Nashville, Tenn.) August 9, 2008 Finishing his 17th year on the racing circuit, Shawn Parker announced today he will be leaving his position as the crew chief for the No. 27 Kleenex Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, effective after the Watkins Glen race.

It has been great to work with Brad Coleman and the guys on the No. 27 crew this year, said Parker. Ive been in this sport now for 17 years and Id like to see what else is out there for me. I wish Brad Coleman and all of the members of Kleenex team nothing but the best as they move on with their careers.

Parker, who started his career as an original Rainbow Warrior for Hendrick Motorsports, has been with Baker Curb Racing (formerly Brewco) since 2005. Before assuming the position of crew chief of the No. 27 Ford, he was the Director of Competition for the team.
