FONTANA, Calif. (September 1, 2008) Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) Camping World team started the Camping World RV Service 300 at the Auto Club Speedway of Southern California in the ninth position, and after running most of the night in the top 10, crossed the finish-line in the 11th position.

At the start of the race, Harvick wasted no time making his move to the front of the field and as green-flag stops began on lap 40, Harvick stayed on the track to lead two laps during the 150-lap event. Crew chief Ernie Cope brought Harvick down pit road on lap 42 for fuel, four tires and an air pressure adjustment to help with the tight handling conditions of the car. After pit stops cycled through the field, the Camping World Chevrolet was scored in the sixth position on lap 50.

The caution flag waved for the first time on lap 55 and Harvick quickly radioed Cope to let him know the car was much better after making adjustments on the pit stop. Harvick came down pit road for fuel, four tires and another air pressure adjustment. On the lap 60 restart, he was in the sixth position.

Maintaining his position in the top 10, Harvick pitted on lap 104 with a tire vibration and the team changed four tires and added fuel. Following the unscheduled stop, Harvick was in the 16th position, one lap down to the leaders.

On lap 124, the field again began green-flag stops. Harvick was able to stay out on track while everyone else pitted, and earned his lap back.

Running in the sixth position and back on the lead lap, Harvick made his final stop on lap 132 under caution for four tires and fuel. The race restarted on lap 135 with Harvick in the 12th spot.

Gaining one position, Harvick took the checkered flag in the 11th position.
