MacDonald Motorsports Overcome Adversity in Nashville
Once the green flag dropped, DJ quickly worked his way through the field and into the top 30. "Coming from the rear and working towards the front showed us how strong our car was" stated Kennington. Kennington then added, "It was great working our way to the front, but the downside starting in the rear is the leaders have clean air incomparison to us passing slower cars at the same time. Ultimately it costs us a lap."
DJ and the team continue to adjust on the car and stay in contention for a top 20. "We had a great car and fought hard all night," claimed Kennington. The MacDonald Motorsports Mahindra Dodge ended the night with a 23rd place finish. "It felt great to be back in the seat of the Mahindra Dodge and to come home contending for a top 20, I couldn't ask for anything more," stated Kennington.
MacDonald Motorsports along with Kennington are looking forward to their first trip to Kentucky Speedway next weekend. "This race means alot to us!", stated DJ. "The Fathers Day race is special because without my father, Doug, and Randy's father, "Doc" we wouldnt be racing today. We are looking to forward to running hard for them and all the fathers who helped this team and crew members get into racing."
