NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 9, 2008) Cale Gale and the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. Camping World Chevrolet team started the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway from the 12th position, but a loose wheel ended the night early and left Gale with a 34th-place finish.

We had a great car tonight, said Gale. We practiced well and had a good qualifying run. The race was going good. Its unfortunate that a lose wheel ended our night early. We had a top-10 car, but its just unfortunate. But, as a team we will move on to Kentucky and hope to rebound with a solid finish.

At the track where he recorded his career-best Nationwide Series finish (eighth, March 2008), Gale qualified 12th for the Federated Auto Parts 300 and then took over the 10th position by lap 10.

On lap 77, while under caution, the team opted to stay out while many other cars pitted. This placed Gale in second place on the leader board.

Continuing to run second behind eventual winner Brad Keselowski, the caution flag waved on lap 104 and crew chief Wally Rogers asked Gale to describe the car. Gale replied that he was feeling a vibration. Rogers told Gale it was probably the brake rotors, and the team pitted for four tires and fuel. The race was restarted on lap 109 with Gale in the 10th position.

By lap 142, while running 11th, Gale informed Rogers he thought the vibration was much worse than the brake rotors. Unfortunately, the team didnt get the opportunity to bring Gale down pit road to check for the cause of the problem. On lap 143, a loose left-rear wheel caused Gale to lose control of the No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet, hitting the wall in turn three. With significant damage to the car, the team was unable to repair the machine as they recorded a 34th-place finish.
