Coleman and Crew Honor Their Dads
Team notches a top-15 finish on Father’s Day Weekend
“Kentucky Speedway has been kind to me in the past and it felt good to be back,” said Coleman. “While it certainly wasn’t the Father’s Day gift we wanted to put a bow around, it was a strong finish overall for this race team.”
Qualifying in the 5th position, Coleman and his crew ran well early and fought a loose race car over the Kentucky bumps for most of the night.
“The car was a good-loose early and we were running well in the top-10,” stated Coleman. “The bumps continued to loosen us up as the race went on and we spent the rest of the evening trying keep it on the lead lap. We were fortunate to pick up a couple of Lucky Dogs and finish on the lead lap, something only 16 cars were able to do tonight. My crew did all they could and worked their tails off to help me bring our father’s this top-15 finish.”
Crew Chief Shawn Parker looks ahead to Milwaukee.
“Brad did a great job handling the car tonight with the different changes we threw at him and the crew had good pit stops,” said Shawn Parker. “We are really looking forward to this coming weekend as both Brad and our team have had good runs at Milwaukee and it is also one of the headquarters of our primary sponsor, Kimberly-Clark.”
