Australian NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose will host 30 fans from his home country during the Memorial Day weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is the second annual tour in association with BAM Tours and has been sold out for several months.

“We kicked off this idea last year and have twice as many fans back this time around,” said Ambrose, driver of the #59 Kingsford Hickory Ford Fusion.

“We will be doing everything we can do to ensure they have an experience they will never forget. If there is one thing Australians know how to do, it’s have a good time.”

The group will arrive Wednesday night and will visit a couple several local attractions on Thursday before heading to Lowe’s Motor Speedway for pole night.

They will then get a personal tour of the JTG Racing workshop at Harrisburg with Ambrose before a private luncheon and then a night at the Sprint Cars with their Australian racing hero.

Saturday and Sunday the group will be hosted in The Speedway Club at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

They will cheer Ambrose in the Carquest Auto Parts 300 on Saturday night.

On Sunday they will head to a local bar to cheer on Australians Will Power and Ryan Briscoe in the Indianapolis 500 before heading to LMS for the Coca-Cola 600.

On Monday they take part in the Richard Petty Driving Experience at LMS before flying back to Australia that afternoon.

“We have 80 percent of the guests back from last year’s tour and they have encouraged another 10 or 12 people to become involved, so we must be doing something right,” said BAM Tours founder and host, Brett ‘Crusher’ Murray.

“We have done everything in our power to ensure this group has the time of their lives and that has been helped by the fantastic people at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, the Richard Petty Driving Experience and JTG Racing.”

There is also a tour scheduled for the California Speedway in August where Ambrose will run both the NASCAR Nationwide and NASCAR Sprint Cup races.
