(Atlanta, Ga.) March 9, 2008 – Brad Coleman went into the Atlanta Motor Speedway race weekend with high hopes of another great track debut finish, but a blown tire on lap 96 of the 195-lap event sent Coleman sliding into the turn three wall.

The No. 27 Kroger / Cottonelle team got the Ford Fusion behind the wall and worked hard and fast to get Coleman back out on the track but unfortunately they lost 20 laps during the repair. Coleman finished the race in 35th position which pushed him back to 19th in the Nationwide Series championship points standings.

“This one hurts, but there is nothing you can do about it,” said Coleman. “You just have to move on and get everybody fired up for Bristol. It was a tough weekend for the No. 27 Kroger / Cottonelle Ford Fusion with only one practice. With the rain, snow and hard tires, it was a tricky situation, but everyone else on the track had the same deal. My team did all they could to repair the damage and I appreciate their efforts. It is time to get ready for Bristol now. “

Crew Chief Shawn Parker echoed Coleman’s sentiments.

“We had a pretty good car out there, but we just had a bit of bad luck,” said Parker. “We did our best to get Brad back out there on the track, but it is hard to recover sometimes. We just have to learn from the race and be prepared for next weekend.”

Coleman and the No. 27 Cottonelle team head to Bristol this week where the driver had a top-20 finish in his Thunder Valley debut last summer.
