Zippo 200 - Juan Pablo Montoya Notes

Juan Pablo Montoya
Watkins Glen Advance Notes

Race: Zippo 200 on Saturday, August 11, 2007
Track: Watkins Glen International (2.45-mile road course)
Location: Watkins Glen, N.Y.

Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 Wrigley’s Big Red Team Facts:

  • Hitting the Road: Juan Pablo Montoya has visited victory lane twice this year while competing in the NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) race in Mexico City this past March and the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (NNCS) race in Sonoma this past June. Both have been road-course victories.

  • Wrigley’s Big Red Weekend at the Glen: This weekend, Montoya will be piloting the Wrigley’s Big Red Dodge in Saturday’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International. Big Red has been riding along with Montoya the entire 2007 season as an associate sponsor on the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline NEXTEL Cup Dodge’s rear quarter panel, and then took center hood this past July at Chicagoland Speedway for the USG Sheetrock 400 (started 30th, finished 15th). This weekend the hot cinnamon tasting gum will take center hood on both of the No. 42 Busch and NEXTEL Cup Dodges.

  • Owner Points Update: The No. 42 Busch team currently stands 15th overall in the NBS owner standings where the team is currently 113 points outside of the top 10.

  • Chassis: Crew chief Brian Pattie is taking chassis #657 to Watkins Glen this weekend to race in the Zippo 200. The chassis was last run in Mexico City as the No. 41 Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit by Scott Pruett who won the pole position in qualifying and then brought home a fifth-place finish.
