KEVIN HARVICK QUOTES:
You’re going for the second straight win in the AutoZone Chevrolet after a wild finish in Canada. How do you feel about winning back-to-back races?
“I think road course racing is fun for us. Obviously, this weekend the cars are going to be very different from each other. It’s going to take a lot of concentration on my part to be successful in both the Busch and Cup car. Canada was pretty wild but we put ourselves in contention to win at the end. We weren’t as fast as Marcus (Ambrose) but we were faster than everyone else. We just happen to be in the right spot at the right time. If we can do the same this week and just stick to the plan, we could bring home another win for AutoZone.”
What’s the biggest difference besides the obvious between ovals and road courses?
“There’s a lot more to do on road courses. You have to shift, stop, shift, gas it and slide. The hardest handling characteristic is to get your car to have forward bite up off the corners because you are coming off a low gear and there are a lot of off-camber corners. You have to try and hook your car up the best you can. It’s kind of like trying to find a balance between taking care of your stuff and driving the heck out of it. It’s definitely different from our normal routine.”
