"I am really happy to be getting back in a Roush Fenway Racing car at Talladega this weekend. This No. 17 team has been on it this year. Drew Blickensderfer was my crew chief last year, so we are familiar with each other and I think that will help us considerably. We ran well at the superspeedway races last year, and I think we can pick up where we left off when we get on track this weekend."
Crew Chief Drew Blickensderfer on racing at Talladega Superspeedway:
“Last year was my first year as a crew chief and Danny’s first year running in the Busch Series. It was a successful year; we were able to earn Rookie of the Year honors for Danny. It will be fun to be paired back up with him this weekend at Talladega. We had a great qualifying effort a year ago there, but didn’t quite get the finish we were looking for. We are bringing the same car that Matt (Kenseth) ran really well with at Daytona so hopefully we can get a similar result this weekend with Danny.”
