PREVIEW: KYLE BUSCH (NO. 5 SPECTRACIDE FIRE ANT KILLER/LOWE'S CHEVROLET)
VENUE: TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY (1.5-MILE TRI-OVAL)
CIRCUIT: NASCAR BUSCH SERIES (RACE EIGHT OF 35)
EVENT: SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2007 (200 LAPS, 300 MILES)
GETTING ANTSY: While Kyle Busch has led the most laps, 386, of any driver in the NASCAR Busch Series, he has yet to visit victory lane this season. Busch has finished in the top three in four of the five NBS races he has competed in.
TEXAS STATS: Busch has posted three top-five Busch Series finishes at Texas Motor Speedway. In April 2004, his first appearance at the track, he earned the pole position and led 147 laps en route to a runner-up result.
STRONG AT SPEEDWAYS: Intermediate tracks, such as Texas Motor Speedway, have proven to be Busch's strongpoint in the Busch Series. Of his seven career victories, three have come at speedways between one and two miles in length. He has earned seven poles and 28 top-10 finishes in 57 speedway races in his NBS career. He has led over 1,100 speedway laps.
EVEN ANTS ARE BIGGER IN TEXAS: Fire Ants will adorn the No. 5 Spectracide® Fire Ant Killer/Lowe's Chevrolet this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Fire Ants are rampant this time of year, but Spectracide Fire Ant Killer plus Preventer Bait Once & Done! starts working in as little as 24 hours after application and controls mounds within 1-2 weeks.
POINTS PICTURE: Despite not having raced in the Busch Series events at Mexico City and Nashville, Tenn., Busch is fifth in the circuit's driver standings while car owner Rick Hendrick is third in owner points.
CHASSIS 356 FOR TEXAS: Crew chief Mike Bumgarner has selected Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 356 for Saturday's Busch Series race at Texas. It is the same car that dominated last month's race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, leading 143 laps before finishing third.

KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 5 SPECTRACIDE FIRE ANT KILLER/LOWE'S CHEVROLET: (ON NARROWLY MISSING A WIN AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY.) "I've been lucky enough to have a good Busch car nearly every time I've been to Texas Motor Speedway. The first time we were there, we got the pole, which was awesome. Then I led well over half the race before (Matt) Kenseth got by us. Last April, the Fire Ants on the car brought us some good luck and we earned our third top-five there. Maybe they'll be good luck for us again this weekend. It would be great to see this team in victory lane with cowboy hats on."
BUSCH: (ON TURNING THE TIDE AND GETTING A WIN IN TEXAS.) "Our last Busch race was at Bristol (Tenn.) last month. We came pretty close to winning that one, too, if it weren't for a few circumstances out of our control. But, since that last Busch race, we did win the NEXTEL Cup race at Bristol, so we think we may have gotten the monkey off our back. Texas could be the track for us. We've been so close there. And we've been so close this season. Hopefully it will all come together for us on Saturday."
