WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE EMERSON RADIO 250 NASCAR BUSCH SERIES RACE AT RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2007.
Mike Wallace earned WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in tonight’s Emerson Radio 250. Wallace led once for three laps and took the honor for the fifth time this season. He had led 11 times in 11 races for a total of 22 laps.
Wallace grabbed the lead in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings. He leads Jason Leffler by one race (5-4) in the standings.
WALLACE QUOTES: “It was a frustrating evening. I really didn’t think we would be that bad off at the start of the race. Thanks to WIX for their contributions to the sport. We led a couple laps there and that helps out. But we didn’t run too good tonight and that’s rather disappointing.”
UNOFFICIALLY Wallace is 10th in the NASCAR Busch Series championship standings. He is 104 points behind ninth-place Greg Biffle and leads 11th-place Matt Kenseth by 106.
