KASEY KAHNE QUOTES:
“Richmond is another short track that is a blast to race on. We have always qualified well there too. Since I’ve been in a Gillett Evernham Motorsports Dodge we’ve qualified inside the top five each time in the Busch Series. We’re hoping for another strong run this weekend especially after our win at Bristol and a good finish at California last weekend. Not everything went our way last week, but we stayed in it. Mike (Shiplett, team director) and the whole crew made some great calls and we grabbed another top-10 for our Dodge Charger. We will try to build on that at Richmond.”

QUICK FACTS:

  • Kahne has led over 270 laps at Richmond in the Busch Series.
  • He has two poles, one top five and three top 10s.
  • In eight career starts at the .75-mile short track Kahne has finished in the top-15 five times.
  • Kahne has two wins, two top-fives and five top-10s in the Busch Series this year. Additionally he’s led 69 laps.
  • The No. 9 Gillett Evernham Motorsports team currently sits seventh in NASCAR Busch Series Owner Points
