  • 32 and Counting … After winning last weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway, Harvick has tallied 32 NASCAR Busch Series victories, which put him into sole possession of second place on the all-time Busch Series wins list, 15 behind leader Mark Martin. He entered the weekend tied with Jack Ingram.
  • Triple Crown … PIR was the site of Harvick’s first Craftsman Truck Series win, which came in 2002 after 75 starts. The 30-year-old driver is one of only 17 drivers who have won a race in each of NASCAR’s “Big Three” divisions.
  • Busch Series Star … Harvick’s NBS stats include 32 wins, 97 top-five and 140 top-10 finishes in 190 starts. That’s a victory in 17 percent of all NBS races he has entered, a top-five in 51 percent of races and a top-10 in 74 percent of the races. He has also led 5,458 laps and has accumulated over $9 million in earnings.
  • 50th win for the Home Team … With Harvick’s win last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, RCR has tallied 50 NASCAR Busch Series wins, maintaining the second spot in the owner victory standings.
  • Chevy’s 50th Promotion … To help celebrate the 50th running of the Daytona 500, Chevrolet will be providing 50 race fans from 50 different states a once-in-a-lifetime weekend experience at the Daytona 500 on Feb. 17, 2008, while 10 of those individuals will win a brand new Chevy Impala. KEVIN HARVICK QUOTES:
What are you thoughts on the rumors NASCAR may change rules regarding Cup drivers running in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2008?
“I think we definitely need something for that series to help the guys that don’t race in the Cup Series every week and are trying to make a name for themselves in the series. It gives everybody something else to talk about when they are racing for the championship. The mix doesn’t need to be as it was in Memphis, because the race was terrible to watch as a spectator. There is a mixture somewhere in there, but it is a fine line as to what is right and what is wrong. I am sure NASCAR will toy with it and try to do the right things for the teams and try to get the right mix of what that right number is.”

Why do you have so much success at Phoenix?
“Phoenix is one of those places that I grew up racing on. I raced a lot in the Southwest Tour, Winston West and Truck Series races at Phoenix. I have learned the characteristics of the race track and the little things that you can do when your car is not handling perfect. I like the flat race tracks. Racing on Phoenix my entire career has also translated into flat track success on the entire circuit.”
