The Emory and Henry College graduate announced his 2008 NNS plans while in Texas; he will join Front Row Motorsports and also carry the Hefty® brand colors once again.
Racing in the Valley of the Sun
The 28-year-old driver will attempt his 42nd career NASCAR Busch Series event at the one-mile speedway. McClure must qualify on speed as he is not locked in the valued top-30 in owners’ standings.
The Virginia native has two starts at PIR. His best start of 39th came in April 2005 and his best finish of 30th came in April 2007.
Up to Speed
Catch all of the action live from PIR on Saturday, November 10th beginning at 4:00pm (EST) on ESPN2. MRN and Sirius Satellite Radio will also broadcast the event live.
Eric McClure, driver of the No. 0 Hefty® Chevrolet quotes:
“We just have to go and try to get qualified into the race. With 48 cars entered it will be very difficult for us. It’s a neat place, a lot tighter track than it shows on TV. The car we have been using seems to be a bit better on the flat tracks than the bigger tracks. We struggled a bit last race, but hopefully we can have a good lap and stick around for the race.”
