Biffle Strong in Phoenix NBS Competition, Returns to Brewco Cub Cadet Ford Friday - Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 Preview

Notes:
Brewco Motorsports begins its 12th season of competition in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2007. Cub Cadet is the primary sponsor on Brewco’s No. 37 Ford Fusion this weekend in Phoenix.

Greg Biffle’s NBS PIR Record:

  • Biffle has an extraordinary record in Busch Series competition at Phoenix. In eight starts he has two wins, five top-five and seven top-ten finishes. His most recent NBS win came in 2005 when he piloted Brewco’s No. 66 entry to Victory Lane, and lead nearly a third of the laps in race.
  • Biffle has finished no lower than 12th place in Busch Series competition at PIR.
  • Biffle hold the Busch Series Qualifying Record at Phoenix – a time of 27.233 seconds and a speed of 132.193 mph – which he set on November 8, 2002.

    Quotes from Greg Biffle:
“Phoenix is one of the most unique racetracks we visit all season. A lot of people compare it to an oval road course, because of the two very different turns and the dog leg on the backstretch. It has always been a very technical track that requires a lot of give and take. You are never going to be perfect on both ends, so the key is to find a balance. You have to have a good handling racecar, but you also need big horsepower to get off of the corner.

“I just love Phoenix. I love this area and I love the fans out here. I like racing on the west coast, especially at Phoenix where I’ve had some success. I’m looking forward to working with (Crew Chief) Newt (Moore) and the Brewco guys again after the successful run we had at Bristol a few weeks ago (seventh). It was great winning with Brewco at Phoenix in 2005 too. We’re definitely going for another win here on Friday night.”
