TIMOTHY PETERS QUOTES:
How much experience do you have at flat race tracks since this is your first race at PIR?
“I look at it as something like South Boston (Va.) Speedway. I’ve seen on TV that a lot of the guys like to use the apron to turn the car and that’s what we did when we ran the Late Model back at South Boston. I know Phoenix is a mile oval but I still consider it a short track and feel like that will be to my advantage.”
Does Harvick’s history with this race car give you confidence going into the weekend?
“Kevin’s track record with this car gives me a lot of confidence. My goal is to keep the good finish streak alive. We haven’t really done as well as any of us would have liked these last three races but I’m looking to make Phoenix the turnaround point. Everything’s there with this AutoZone team. We just need to go do it.”
