BRAD KESELOWSKI IN THE No. 88 U.S. NAVY CHEVROLET WAS THE RAYBESTOS ROOKIE OF THE RACE AT O’REILLY RACEWAY PARK.
Note:
Keselowski finished 10th and took Raybestos Rookie of the Race
honors for the second time this season.
DAVID RAGAN, No. 6 DISCOUNT TIRE FORD: “It was pretty disappointing. We felt like we had a car that could’ve won. Starting in the back, you have to have a perfect night to get back to the front. After we got spun out there early on, it was an uphill battle all night. We couldn’t get gas in our car. We had to stop two extra times and lost a lot of track position.
The car was beat up. It just wasn’t as good as it was earlier.
Certainly we felt like we could’ve finished in the top five if everything worked out. Back there in the back things happen and it could’ve been a lot worse, but it could’ve been a lot better.”
KYLE KRISILOFF, No. 14 LILLY/WALGREENS FORD: “It was alright. I didn’t really make any mistakes. The car was really bad in practice. I was really disappointed that we didn’t get it better, but it was a really good race. Everybody worked really hard. Pit stops were perfect. Didn’t get in any trouble and came home on the lead lap in 21st. We had really good car last week that I wanted to bring here. I think if we would’ve brought that we might have had a top-15 or even a top-10 finish. Things are getting better. We just need to keep working.”
ROBERT RICHARDSON JR., No. 28 U.S. BORDER PATROL CHEVROLET: “I thought it was awesome. I don’t even know where we ended up. Over all, this team has been coming together so much the past couple of weeks. We’ve gone through a couple different crew chiefs, crew members, and I think we finally got the chemistry that this team needs. We called a great race.
That’s the best race car I’ve had all year long, and it was just a great night for me personally.”
MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 59 KINGSFORD/AUSSIE VINEYARDS FORD: “We just broke a rear end gear. I felt it going and we just needed to take it. We took it out, ran good but we were 28 laps down. It was an encouraging night for us. We ran strong, we passed a lot of cars. That’s what it’s all about.”
ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE ROAD COURSE NEXT WEEKEND: “Yeah. I’m just looking forward to bouncing back. We’ve had a tough few weeks here.
We’ll get there.”
